Janie Sullivan is a Five-Star Editor. Her attitude, professionalism, quick turnaround, reasonable pricing and amazing technical skills have helped me out with ten projects in the last six years. Each project was different – a novella; some peer-reviewed professional management chapters; an e-book; a cookbook of my mother’s recipes; a novel; and my current project, a compilation book that will probably be 1000 pages when it is completed. Janie also helped me upgrade my resume and my blog site. No matter what I throw at her, Janie always gives back a professionally packaged product worthy to be seen and shared. If you are looking for an editor who has a writer’s heart, you’ve come to the “write” place. |

I was delighted that my teaching colleague Janie Sullivan was willing to edit and shape my books for Amazon. She is a delight to work with, and she looks for ways to improve a book, beyond the author's ideas. She is a genius at fixing the format and making it ideal and eye-pleasing. I recently read a set of Kindles and thought, "That person needs Janie." Her crowning achievement - in my eyes - was combining a nine-volume set of Luther's Sermons into one PDF that I could share around the world. Various African Lutheran seminaries wanted to translate English works into their language, so this made sending the set around by Dropbox easily done. A printed set costs $90 at the author's price plus $100 for shipping, so that eliminated the price and shipping issue for many schools. Janie produced a full color, black and white, and Kindle version for each Luther volume. A group of us work together, and we call Janie "the finishing editor." |

I have never met Janie Sullivan in person, but I have known her since 2014 when a fellow author referred her to me. She told me that "we would be a good fit together." Truer words have rarely ever been spoken. Not being 'techy' and just coming off of a 35 year career in Real Estate, I was inspired to write my first book. It's A God Thing included true stories and poems, prose, and insights that were true to me and my life. Janie took boocoodles amounts of her patient demeanor and time to walk me through the '1st book' process with so many pictures that just seemed to 'fit' besides the poems and true encounters. Since that date in 2014, I have managed to write a 5* factual fiction (oxymoron statement I know, but a lot indeed happened to me personally) that Janie published for me in 2016 called ALONE, true of what was going on in the world during at that time. Then again in 2018, I wrote another factual fiction called WhoDunIt? involving several classmates that wanted to be 'in' my next book. This was about highly trained and feared sniper that was murdered here in America...WhoDunIt? is narrowed down to several of those classmates. Janie published this one for me most this past September. Through sickness, tests, travels and more tests, Janie never once wavered from her even-keeled personality and always treated me with the upmost respect, in spite of my being on the 'duh' side of technology and how to make a winsome book possible. I am nothing or would be nothing in the 'author' category, without Janie. I haven't made bunches of money, but it comes down to those times in life where you just gotta try one more thing...Janie made this possible for me and I love and appreciate her for it. Thanks and many blessings to you, Janie.... |
